Maho Education Zone together with the counseling and career guidance unit of the school in organizing a training camp for the prefect of the school. It will be held on 23rd and 24th of February.

In order to increase the results of Science at the up coming  0/L exam , a workshop was held from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m on 14^th of November 2011 in the Science laboratories of Mahanama Maha Vidyalaya, Polpithigama. The students of the neighboring school such as Kalugalla K.V, Thalpathwewa K.V, Niyandawanaya K.V, Balagolla K.V, Palagama K.V, and Ravaela K.V took part in this progarmme.

With the purpose of uplifting the results of English Language at the G.C.E.O/L Examination in 2011, a special support seminar was held on 27^th of June 2011 from 8.00 a.m to 4.30 p.m at the Main Hall of Mahanama M.V. Under the guidance of the school principal Mr. H.M.J.Herath , this seminar was organized by Mr.H.N. Keerthirathne the teacher in- charge of English.

For this seminar the following persons were participated as the resource persons.

2. Mr. D.M. Samantha Dasanayake ( Assistant teacher of Maliyadewa Boys College – Krunegala)
3. Miss J.M. Kusum Priyadarshani ( Teacher of Unique International College  -Kurunegala)
4. Miss. H.M.Iresha Nadeeshani Piyasena (Teacher of Knowledge House English Academy- Polpithigama)
5. Miss H.M.Chamila Kumari Kadurwawa (Teacher of Knowledge House English Academy- Polpithigama)

At this seminar all the students were given a specially prepared hand out with model questions. An amount of Rs.1870/= was spent for these handouts which was provided for the higher education process by the EKSP Project of The Ministry of Education.This was one of the three special English Seminars organized by Mr H. N. Keerthirathne in his project for the G.C.E.(O/L) students in 2011.

Celebrating the Teachers’ Day which falls on 6^th of October, students of Mahanama Maha Vidyalaya organized a special programme to salute their teachers. In this event teachers were awarded souvenirs by their students.
